Although Morocco is a world away from most countries, it has similar travel options just like in other countries. For instance, accommodation choices are remarkably good with a wide range of hotel facilities for the country’s booming economy and tourist industry; of varying comfort, elegance and convenience.

With regards to traveling to Morocco, you can catch a train, taxi or hire a car or even fly by taking connecting flights in-between the larger cities. This means that getting around Morocco is relatively easy and should pose no problem for you - regardless of whether you are adventurous or reserved and cautious.

Comprehensive travel and medical insurance before traveling is essential.  You should check any exclusion and that your policy insurance covers you for all the activities you want to take on. When insuring your vehicle, it is advisable to choose a company with a local agent.

Car/ Car Hire - Driving by car in Morocco isn’t so challenging. The speed limit in town is 50km/hr and on the highways it is 100km/hr. By law all drivers and passengers are required to wear seatbelts. However you should be careful of driving at night. It is legal to drive without lights at up to 20km/hr and there are many cyclists, animals and hikers at night, so drivers need to be extra vigilant. Visitors intending to visit ‘up country’ locations should consider using a van from rental companies offering the services of a local driver with the van hire arrangements. Flights to Morocco

Shared Taxi - Shared Taxis feature highly in the Moroccan transport sector. They operate on extensive routes and are much quicker than the public buses with very reasonable fares. The taxis are usually big Mercedes vans that can carry up to 6 passengers. For those traveling with their own vehicle a Temporary import permit / carnet de passage for foreign registered vehicles will need to be completed to bring the vehicle into the country.

Train service - Trains in Morocco are very comfortable and economical. They cover a limited network of routes, but travel between all the major cities. They are reliable, comfortable, fast and efficient. So they present the best travel alternative.

International Flights –Several international airlines including Royal Air Maroc (RAM) airline operate regular scheduled flights from the country to numerous international destinations. Major international flight destinations are in North America, Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa. There are direct Morocco Flights from Tunisia (Tunis), Egypt (Cairo), Ethiopia (Addis Ababa), South Africa (Jo’burg), UK (London Gatwick), UAE (Dubai) plus many International Cities.

Local flights are available to Fes, Marrakech, Tangier plus many other cities. Between any other two points you will usually have to change planes at Casablanca. Charter services can also be arranged on request.

Passport & Visa Tips - Travel regulations in Morocco are known to change without notice to the public. It is therefore wise to check the current regulations with your travel agent before setting off. Entry visas are only valid for three months; visitors who wish to stay longer should apply at the local police station within 15 days of arrival. Your passport must be valid for 6 months following date of entry. When entering the country, especially during the busy summer months, you should ensure that your passports are stamped. You will then be able to stay in Morocco for up to three months. Some tourists have experienced difficulties leaving the country because their passports bear no entry stamp.

  • Safari Tanzania | Wildlife excursion into Tanzania

Tanzania is one of the unique destinations on the African continent that is yet to be appreciated by many. It is a land of splendor hubbing an un-paralleled diversity of fauna and flora. The scenery, geography and welcoming people harbor the growth of exceptional travel tourism, game hunting and some of the best wildlife photographic tours in Africa. The finest game sanctuaries of Serengeti, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Ruaha, Selous and the Marine Park of Mafia Island are some of Africa’s best.

Mention Tanzania, and most people think of wide open plains, but this astonishingly varied country is also the best place to track our closet living relatives in the wild, the monkeys and chimps. Tanzania boasts a wealth of these captivating creatures, from the Baboons and velvet monkeys of the savannah to the colobus monkeys that leap spectacularly through the highland forests. On the northern shore of Lake Tanganyika, Gombe Stream is home to the celebrity Chimpanzee community.

For the dedicated twitchers, Tanzania’s biggest draw is the presence of over 32 national endemics- bird species that are unique. Half a dozen of these ‘specials’ are quite seen on an ordinary safari, including 2 brightly colored species of parrot-like lovebirds and the quirky rufous-tailed weaver. The majority, however, is associated with the forests of the Eastern Arc Mountains and Southern Highlands, an area that ranks among Africa’s top birding hotspots.

The Great Rift Valley; Stretching for 5500km between Arabia and the Zambezi Valley, the Rift Valley formed some 20-30 million years ago along a pair of fault lines that converge on Tanzania’s southern highlands. Prominent land marks, like the Kilimanjaro and the Ngorongoro Crater, are volcanic by-products of the rifting, which eventually cause the region to split into 2 separate land masses.

Tanzania’s tourist calendar is dictated by Natural cycles, whether it be monsoon winds of the movements of the Serengeti wildebeest. The key cultural event is the Zanzibar International Film Festival held on the Island in July 2008, while for more active types, The Kilimanjaro Marathon held every June. • Tanzania Travel Tour | Kilimanjaro Africa tours

    http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> name="ProgId" content="Word.Document"> name="Generator" content="Microsoft Word 11"> name="Originator" content="Microsoft Word 11">

Tanzania has rightly assumed a position as a top African tourist destination, after decades of operating under neighboring Kenya’s shadow as the premier tourist center of East Africa. A Tanzania travel tour enables you to explore astonishing diversity of landscapes, abundant wildlife on visiting the finest National Parks and fascinating cultures.

Tanzania is home to the great wildebeest and zebra herds and the pursuing predators that trek the Serengeti in an annual migration in search of fresh grazing and water sources. This incredible wildlife spectacle is just one of Tanzania's many attractions, including the Ngorongoro Crater rim, majestic Mount Kilimanjaro and the exotic spice islands of Zanzibar and Pemba. The annual migration of an estimated 2 million animals can happen anytime between May and July, depending on the rains, with the animals returning to the southern Serengeti from the Masai Mara around October.

Wildlife and wilderness aside, Tanzania also boasts some of the most romantic and unspoilt tropical beaches in Africa. First on the list of amazing Tanzania beaches is Zanzibar, once home to Sultans and explorers, a place of exotic spices, azure waters and incredible architecture.

There's more: Pemba Island and Mafia Island, part of the Zanzibar Archipelago, have to be among the few remaining island paradises in existence.

Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain and metaphor for the compelling beauty of East Africa needs little introduction. The tallest freestanding volcano in the world, also known as the roof of Africa, is climbed by thousands of tourists annually. For enthusiastic trekkers, there are several routes by which to climb Mt Kilimanjaro such as Marangu, Rongai, Lemosho, Shira, Umbwe and Machame. Of all the routes, Machame is by far the most scenic albeit steeper route up the mountain, which can be done in 6 or 7 days. The Rongai is the easiest camping route and the Marangu is also easy. Persons wishing to climb Mt Kilimanjaro are advised to undertake appropriate research and ensure that they are both properly equipped and physically capable. Though the climb is technically very easy, the altitude and low temperature make this a difficult and dangerous trek.

Tanzania combines very well as a safari destination with neighboring Kenya, and there are daily direct flights out of London and Amsterdam to Nairobi, plus a daily flight from Amsterdam direct to Kilimanjaro. There is also easy access from Tanzania to the neighboring gorilla and primate reserves in Uganda and Rwanda.

As Tanzania lies within the equatorial belt, temperatures for much of the year remain constant around 70-80°F (21-27°C) but nights and early mornings are colder between June and August. There is a short rainy period in November and December, with long rains expected between March and May. It is usually dry between June to October and again in January and February.
